GGCC End of Season, Solo and 2-Up TT

Event Overview

GGCC held a very successful end of season solo and 2-up TT on Sunday 9th September.
The weather was kind with a bright crisp sunny morning and as usual the GGCC members turned out in force to set some blistering times on the A77 course!

There were fast, end of season times and for the solo riders and the GGCC course record was broken and our new 'pairs' format proved a great result and the feedback was to have more team events! The pairings made for some interesting results and some great teamwork.

The official results are attached below.

Two results that are worth of mention are -

BEST EFFORT ON THE DAY - Jim Murray for riding teh solo AND the pairs!
MOST IMPROVED FROM LAST TT - Vince Wells who knocked off 1.27 from his best time

The first GGCC TT was a complete success. 21 members of GGCC took part in the event and recorded some fantastic times. After a pleasant warm up over 9 miles the group gathered at the Malletsheugh Inn for a briefing. The weather held out for everyone and the briefing was completed with everyone knowing their order in the starting line up. Each rider involved had a fantastic time on a course which was challenging. We were pleased that no mechanicals occurred on the route and everyone returned safe and sound. The event was wrapped up with a coffee stop at the Malletsheugh Inn where the results were read out and a everyone deserved a huge pat on the back. The results sheet is attached below.
