GGCC Autumn Time Trial – 2nd October 2016
This will be the final club Time Trial for 2016 using the Strathblane to Lennoxtown course. We will be reverting to the 10 mile A77 course for 2017.
We will be accepting entries on the day so if you have not entered already then there will be some spaces on the day for those last minute entries.
We already have nearly 30 riders but spaces in the start sheet for last minute entries.
We plan to head out towards Strathblane to then meet at the Kirkhouse Inn for sign on from 9:00. This part of the ride is 15 miles.
Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for 8:30am for a group ride to the sign on. Can group leaders please arrange the ride from The Arch as I will be out putting signs on the course and setting up sign on.
We will go through some basic safety, group riding etiquette and group riding technique, first aid and basic bike maintenance before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what’s happening on the ride.
The group leaders will be identified prior to setting off in order that each group runs as smoothly as possible on the way to the A77.
For those of you who are first aid trained and have been issued first aid pack, can you please bring these along on Sunday (and each run you attend)
Forecast is to be 7 - 10 degrees and sunny and dry with a 3mph wind from the SE gusting to 9mph so perfect conditions.

For those of you who will be heading straight to the event and not to the green, there are plenty of car parking spaces and areas to warm up.
Sign on for the event will be from 9:00 am to 9:45 and will be held in the restaurant area to the left of the main door of Kirkhouse Inn.
Dales Cycles have donated the goody bags for the winners on the day. GGCC have also contributed to the prizes by offering a £10 gift voucher for all of the winners.

See you sunday

An event briefing will be held in the Kirkhouse Inn at 9:45. We ask that every rider is present for the briefing. This is an important point of the morning as this will inform you of all aspects of the start, course, conditions, finish area and post event prize giving.
The first rider will be set off at 10:01. The distance from the sign on area to the start line is only 100 metres. Please allow a few minutes to get to the start time as you will not
