Welcome to our training and FAQ page. 

At GGCC we understand how important it is to make sure that you train at the appropriate level dependent on your current fitness. Understanding what your individual goals are determine your level of involvement in the club rides.

The best way to improve your cycling is to ride! It was Eddy Merckx that said 'the secret to cycling success was to simply ride more!'.

So, the training guide gives you a vareity of routines to try that isnt a substitute for your road miles, but an addition that you can incorporate into your weekly routine to help you develop as a rider.

The team @ GGCC have tried and tested these routines and some of them are fun, some of them are tough and some of them are just brutal. However all of them work!!
