The GGCC Club Confined Autumn Time Trial - Sunday 24th September 2017

This weekend, GGCC will hosts its final Time Trial eventsof 2017, The Club Confined Autumn Time Trial

For the full event programme, please goto the Events page on the GGCC Facebook page. We will be using a blank start sheet and fill in the entries on the day so please shout up for an early / late set off time. We will collect names and allocate times on sunday morning during sign on.

At sign on please make sure you give your date of birth.

If you have not entered already then there will be some spaces on the day for those last minute entries. We already have nearly 30 riders and 8 marshalls.

We plan to head out towards the south side of Glasgow to get to the meeting point of The Fairweather Hall, Barrhead Road, Newton Mearns, G77 6BB, this part of the ride is approximately 9 miles.

**Please can you remember to take off your cycling shoes in the hall**

**The Hall is at the last junction before you turn left up towards the Ivy so please take the usual routs as if you are heading on a south side ride from the Green**

Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for 8:30am.

We will go through some basic safety, group riding etiquette and group riding technique, first aid and basic bike maintenance before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what’s happening on the ride.

The group leaders will be identified prior to setting off in order that each group runs as smoothly as possible on the way to the A77.

For those of you who are first aid trained and have been issued first aid pack, can you please bring these along on Sunday (and each run you attend)

Forecast is to be around 14 degress, 10mph wind from the SE gusting to 17mph with only a 50% chance of light rain. It may be a bit damp so make sure you warm up before and have something warm to put on straight after you finish.

Please remember to bring your £5 which will be your entry fee for the day. Your entry fee includes your race entry, associated insurances for the event as well as refreshments after the event.

**PLEASE can we ask for any food / nibble donations on the day so we can feed you**

For those of you who will be heading straight to the event and not to the green, there are plenty of car parking spaces and areas to warm up.

Sign on for the event will be from 9:00 am to 9:50 and will be held in the main hall of Fairweather Hall.

**PLEASE be as prompt as possible for sign on - goto Nikki and the sigh on team and get your number asap**

A full breakdown of the prize categories is on the events page and programme.

An event briefing will be held in the main hall of Fairweather Hall 9.45. We ask that every rider is present for the briefing. This is an important point of the morning as this will inform you of all aspects of the start, course, conditions, finish area and post event prize giving.

The first rider will be set off at 10:01 or IF we run over then 10.15. The distance from the sign on area to the start line is two (2) mile exactly. Please allow up to 15 mins to get to the start time as you will not be able to alter your time and may need to be allocated a later start time.

We would encourage all the riders to stay for the full event and support the riders and prize winners. Sunday is not a day for getting the miles in, its about getting involved and supporting your club and fellow members.

The Fairweather Hall will be open from 9:00 and will changing facilities and a kitchen with facilities. From approximately 11.30 am, refreshments and snacks will be available.

We are expecting the event to finish for around 12:30 - 1.00pm

We look forward to seeing you all on the morning of the event.

From all the team @ GGCC
