Club Run this Sunday 9th September GGCC - North Glasgow Route 45 Miles

We will try and meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for a 8:30am start though as the Pedal for Scotland Riders will be leaving from the Green then we may have to meet at the Terra-cotta fountain directly outside the Peoples Palace.

The first place to go to will be the Arch. If this isn't suitable Ray Hicks will be there to direct you to the Fountain.

** If you are unsure of the exact location of the fountain, the map of the route shows the exact start point from being at the fountain.**

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO SUNDAYS RIDE

This Sunday we will head North out of Glasgow and stop for our coffee at The Boathouse @ Auchinstarry just by Kilsyth. Bring along £2 and we will take the coffee stop order and phone it in before we leave.

We will go through some basic safety tips and group riding etiquette before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly whats happening on the ride.

In summary, heading north out of the City. At Kirkintilloch roundabout go straight over towards Torrance, stay left at Next roundabout towards Milngavie. Head to Strathblane then right towards Lennoxtown and onto Kilsyth. Stop for a coffee. head to Cumbernauld, Stepps and back into town.

The weather is to be dry and the temperature is to be around 13 degrees celsius.

We will use the NEW GROUP format of STEADY, CHALLENGE and RACE PACE where possible.

We will all head out of town together and after 6 miles we will split into groups dependent on the numbers we have on  the day.

**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean so if there is a mechanical we can work on it without getting filthy**

Thanks from the team @ GGCC
