Details of Club Run incorporating the GGCC end of year Hill Climb

27 Oct 2012

Sunday 28th October Club Run incorporating the GGCC Hill Climb

We will meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for a 8:30am sharp start.

David Sykes will run through a summary of the event either at the green or at the foot of the Crow Road.

Please feel free to take part in the Hill Climb though if you want to bow out then this is not a problem.

This Sunday we will head North of Glasgow taking it really easy using the most direct quietest route to the foot of the Crow Road.

As many of you are are aware the club will be carrying out its inaugural Hill Climb Event on the Crow Road. Full event details can be found on the club website.

After the Hill Climb we will travel to the Boathouse in Kilsyth for drinks courtesy of the club.

We will go through some basic safety tips and group riding etiquette before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly whats happening on the ride.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO SUNDAYS RIDE.

Weather is to be wet though not too cold.

We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE and RACE PACE at defined points along the route. This will only happen after the Hill Climb has taken place.

PLEASE pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.

**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed and maintained.

We look forward to seeing you all Sunday.

Cheers
