GGCC Club Ride - Wednesday 9th January - The East Kilbride Roundabout Rodeo!

This Wednesday GGCC will be out on the roads and taking on the East Kilbride Roundabout Rodeo. Both Ray and I are racing at the track so can we ask for volunteers to lead the ride for Wednesday. Your help would be greatly appreciated as always.

Please meet by the McDonalds restaurant where the new M74 junction is that is next to the Arnold Clark garage on London Road. (opposite the HSS store).
We will go through some basic safety tips, group riding etiquette and first aid before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly whats happening on the ride.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO WEDNESDAYS RIDE.

Weather is to be mild and dry with a less than 5% chance or rain and around 4 degrees.

We will split into STEADY and CHALLENGE but remember this is the time for good solid steady miles and not ripping it. We will split the groups depending on the number of members on the ride and demand.

Everyone will take the same route so if you choose the wrong group or get dropped from Challenge, there will always be a group coming up that you can join.

An idea of the pace each group should ride @ are -
Steady IS steady at about 12 -15mph
Challenge should stretch you at around 16mph - 20mph

Pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.

**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean**
