GGCC Club Ride details for Sunday 13th January - North to Torrance, Strathblane, Kilsyth and back into Glasgow- 45 miles

This Sunday we will head north and head towards Torrance then over to Kilsyth for a coffee stop at the Boathouse.
Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for a 8:30am sharp start and remember your £2 for the coffee stop.

We will go through some basic safety tips, group riding etiquette and group riding technique and first aid before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly whats happening on the ride.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO SUNDAYS RIDE.

Weather is to be VERY COLD with a chance of ice with temperatures feeling like -3 and snow forecast by midday.

**PLEASE KEEP EN EYE ON FACEBOOK FOR RIDE UPDATES IN CASE WEATHER IS TOO ICY TO RIDE**

We will split into STEADY and CHALLENGE for this ride. No RACE PACE this week as we should be taking it easy and getting base miles in and the roads may be too icy for a fast pace.
Everyone will take the same route so if you choose the wrong group or get dropped from Challenge, there will always be a group coming up that you can join.

An idea of the pace each group should ride @ are -

Steady IS steady at about 14 -16mph
Challenge should stretch you at around 18mph - 20mph

Pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone. **WE MAY SPLIT INTO 2 OR 3 STEADY GROUPS AND 2 CHALLENGE GROUPS DEPENDING ON NUMBERS**

**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean**

See you all Sunday.
