GGCC ‘2 year’ Anniversary Sportive – Sunday 11th August
Hi all, Glasgow Green Cycle Club and its valued members will be celebrating its 2 year birthday on Sunday 11th August so please get the date into your diary as its going to be an absolute belter of a day for everyone including your partners, kids and family who are all invited to join us at the destination.
We will be publishing the exact details very soon but Ray and I wanted to make sure you kept this VERY IMPORTANT date free so you can join us on the special day to celebrate.
Plans are as follows –
-Meet as normal at the arch on Glasgow Green on the Sunday morning at 8.30
-Nice sociable ride to Largs (approx 32 miles)
-Ferry to Milport on The Isle of Cumbrae (family, friends and kids all welcome to join us on the island but must make their own way there)
-Fun, frolics, mini TT’s, family fun, raft races and riding on the Island
-Lunch at 12 ‘ish at The Newton Bar (Buffet style) for members friends, kids and family
-The FAMOUS GGCC YEARLY OSCARS AND AWARDS CEREMONY!
-The Millport Raft Race where we will be watching and supporting The Dales Cycles Raft Race team
-Ferry to mainland at about 3pm
-Nice sociable ride back to Glasgow Green (approx 38 mile)
We will be publishing an official event programme with the help of Ben very soon so keep your eyes peeled for more details for what is going to be THE CYCLING EVENT of the cycling calendar!!
This event will also be fully supported along the way to make the day as enjoyable as possible and as easy as possible for us all.
(There will be a cost for the ferry (approx £6) and also the buffet (approx £10) and we have tried to keep outlay and costs to a minimum for you. If family, friends and kids want to join you / us on the island then there are obviously costs incurred to get them onto and off the island so its entirely up to each of you who you want to join us)
