Wednesday 18th September GGCC Club Ride - East Kilbride Roundabout Run. 25 Miles.
This week will be the first East Kilbride Roundabout Run so Greenlees Road as the warm up and then onto East Kilbride. We will the work on some group rotation and chain-gang up and down The Queensway before heading back via Castlemilk.

*WE INSIST THAT EVERYONE SHOULD USE LIGHTS FOR THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT RUNS FROM NOW ON. PLEASE BRING LIGHTS WITH YOU, AS YOU WILL BE RIDING IN THE DARK DURING THE SECOND PART OF THE RUN.
Meet at 6.45pm for a 7pm sharp start at the McDonalds at the end of London Road near the junction of the M74.
We will go through some basic safety tips and group riding etiquette before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what happens on the ride.
If you have been given a first aid pack or have your own, can you bring this with you on club runs?
Weather is to be 8 degrees and its forecast for to be dry. There will be a Westerly wind of around 18 mph.
We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE and RACE PACE at defined and agreed points along the route.
Steady is steady and usually sit between 14 – 16 mph average.
Challenge should push your ability and sits about 18mph average.
Race Pace is faster and is around 20mph+.
Please pick your group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.
