GGCC Club Ride details for Sunday 3rd November - COFFEE N CAKES Dales Cycles

http://connect.garmin.com/course/4916034
Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for a 8:30am start.
Can you all bring along some money £2 for your coffee donation and we will collect this as you get your tea and cakes!
Can the ride leaders please all chip in where we can and make sure the run goes as smoothly as possible?
Can the group leaders gather their respective groups together before we set off from the green to run through what pace, rotations etc they will be doing?
If any new riders come along, can folk buddy up where possible?
Could a volunteer run through the M Check?
We will go through some basic safety, group riding etiquette and group riding technique, first aid and basic bike maintenance before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what’s happening on the ride.
For those of you who are first aid trained and have been issued first aid pack, can you please bring these along on Sunday (and each run you attend)
Weather is to be around 2 degrees, with sunny intervals and a 9mph westerly.
We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE and CHEEKY CHALLENGE groups. (Race pace has been scaled back for the winter to encourage steady miles)
Everyone will take the same route so if you choose the wrong group or get dropped from the Race or Challenge groups, there will always be a group coming up that you can join.
An idea of the pace each group should ride @ are -
Steady IS steady at about 14 -16mph
Challenge should stretch you at around 16mph - 18mph
Cheeky Challenge is 18+mph
Pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.
**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean**
See you all Sunday.
