COMMONWEALTH ROAD RACE EVENT UPDATE

Can we say a MASSIVE Thank You and Congratulations to ALL involved in making yesterdays event for The Commonwealth Road Race on Montrose Street a roaring success!

The atmosphere was fantastic and not even a 'wee shower' dampened your enthusiasm and it was great to see everyone get involved in making the day what it was! Thank you all for supporting GGCC once again. 

Special thanks go to Simon Bain for the set up. His (and his teams) time and effort was and is hugely appreciated. 
Thanks to Mark Robbie and Suzy for securing the spot and getting the event arranged! What a location and superb facilities on the day!

Thanks to all the cake bakers........too many to mention and apologies if we miss anyone but Carole, Karly and Lorna produced some outstanding treats!

Everyone who helped set up and clear away the sight, your time is appreciated as it was a huge effort to get the site to look the way it did and when we left you wouldn't even know we were there! 

Thanks too goes to our sponsor Dales Cycles for the large Gazebo and banners. 

THE ADDED BONUS OF THE DAY is that GGCC will be making a donation of £151 to Yorkhill Childrens Charity which is what the club gathered yesterday from the sale of the beers and the few extra entries on the day. Its a great way to give something back afeter such a good event!
