COFFEE AND CAKES @ DALES / Sunday 7th September.

Its Coffee n Cakes time at Dales this week so come along and fill your face with cakes at Dales!!
This week we will head North out towards Stepps, Kilsyth, onto The Crow Road then back in via Milgavie and Torrance, and onto Dales for coffee and cakes.

Could the ride leaders please all chip in where we can and make sure the run goes as smoothly as possible? Please volunteer where you can to lead groups.
Please remember your £2 for your coffeecake donation at Dales.
If any new riders come along, can folk buddy up where possible?
We will go through some basic safety, group riding etiquette and group riding technique, first aid and basic bike maintenance before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what’s happening on the ride.
For those of you who are first aid trained and have been issued first aid pack, can you please bring these along on Sunday (and each run you attend)
Weather is to be around 11 degrees, dry with sunny intervals, with a 7 mph westerly wind
We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE, CHEEKY CHALLENGE and RACE PACE.
Everyone can take the same route so if you choose the wrong group or get dropped from the faster groups, there will always be a group coming up that you can join.
An idea of the pace each group should ride @ are -
Steady IS steady at about 14 -16mph
Challenge should stretch you at around 16mph - 18mph
Cheeky Challenge is 18 - 20 mph
Race Pace is 20mph+
Pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.
**We will however have the 3 drops and you are out for all other groups.
**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean**
