Its been another amazing year for Glasgow Green Cycle Club. Reaching 180 members for the year has shown that as a club we are doing the right things.
We will be taking an official Christmas break and look forward to seeing you all again for the first official GGCC Club ride on Sunday 4th January 2015. We are sure that there will be many Xmas miles being ridden so stay safe and have fun!
Today we have donated £180 to the Yorkhill Children’s hospital that equates to £1 from every membership in 2014. Over the year a number of our members have taken part in some fantastic events to raise money for various charities. We are delighted that a large number of charities have benefited from our members riding their bikes.
With 2014 having been a really busy year for the club, we are hoping to continue to offer a fun, safe and exciting year in 2015. The club will host a 2015 launch later in January @ Dales Cycles, our principal partner, which will cover the details of what is planned so far for the following year. We would encourage as many members to come along on the evening.
Our club events are always popular and we will continue to invest the time and money into them to make sure they are as enjoyable for everyone involved. We would also like to see more of our members playing a bigger part in our events. Going into our 4th year, we have a great wealth of experience in the club that we feel could be used to make our events even bigger and better. As always, if you would like to play a part in the club events please let us know as the support is always welcomed.
We would like to thank everyone who has joined up to GGCC in 2014 and we hope that being a member has been an enjoyable experience. As you know, the annual GGCC membership runs from the 1st of January to the 31st of December.
2015 membership fees will remain @ £25 per year.
The club is now accepting memberships for 2015. If you wish to be a part of GGCC for the next 12 months please arrange to pay your fees prior to the 31st January 2015. You can do this in various ways. The GGCC website will automatically highlight that your membership fees are due when you log in. You can pay via the GGCC website. Please bear in mind that the website charges the club an administration fee which is why the fee via the website is higher. You can also pay via PayPal by using our email theteam@glasgowgreencycleclub.co.uk as the reference. Some of you will have the club bank details from previous transactions. Please feel free to use this for your payment though please state your name as the payment reference to allow us to track who has paid, this is really important. If you need the bank details to carry out an online transfer then please contact us on Facebook or by email. You can also bring cash or a cheque to your next club run. For those members who joined and paid after October 1st 2014, the membership fee you paid then will cover you through to December 31st 2015.
We would also like to thank all our supporters and partners for their help over the last 12 months. We hope you have enjoyed being part of GGCC during 2014 and we would welcome your support going into 2015. In particular we would like to thank Dales Cycles for providing a brilliant partnership in 2014. Having your support at our events as well as the great hospitality throughout the year has been fantastic.
A special thanks goes to ‘The Broons’ for supporting the club as a whole, which has been brilliant as always.
