The main reason for this news story is that we want to make sure our members are not in a position that they feel they have paid their fees and do not now have access to the club benefits or facilities.
We were approached by a former member tonight as they were concerned and upset that they had been removed from the closed Facebook page as they had stated that they had paid the 2015 fees at the end of January this year.
We can categorically say that we have not received a payment from them for their 2015 membership via internet banking, Paypal or cash/cheque.
They were also concerned that their new cycling club is their only affiliated cycling club on British Cycling and that GGCC had been removed. The team at Glasgow Green Cycle club have no input or influence over the clubs which members list under their BC membership. However we do encourage our members to list GGCC as their primary or secondary club. Any amendments that are made need to be carried out by the rider and not by the club. If you login to the membership section of BC, this is the part of the site where only you can request amendments to be made to your membership and affiliated clubs.
