GGCC Sunday Club Run details – 27th November 2016 - Kaldis Pasta and Soup Ride

We plan head north this weekend and then onto visit Kaldis for our coffee stop this Sunday. Jeff @ Kaldis would like to invite us all back to the restaurant for another great spread.

They have agreed to put on teas, coffees, Pasta, Soup, Salad & Sandwiches. All of this for £5 per head. It’s a great offer and I am sure it will be well appreciated after 45 miles on the bike. After visiting Kaldis, everyone can then make their own way back home after the stop. If you turn right onto Edinburgh Road, this will take you back into town with no diversions.

Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for 8:30am start.

The route for this weekend will be towards Torrance, then Milngavie, Strathblane, The Crow Road and then onto Kilsyth. We will then head back into town via Muirhead, bargeddie and then to Bailleston.

Please bring your £5 which will be collected at Kaldis.

We will head out of town in groups of 10 before splitting into our paced groups at the usual roundabout just passed the Asda.

Before we set of we will go through some basic safety, group riding etiquette and group riding technique, first aid and basic bike maintenance before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what’s happening on the ride.

The group leaders will be identified prior to setting off in order that each paced group runs as smoothly as possible and everyone knows who the group leader in that specific group actually is.

For those of you who are first aid trained and have been issued first aid pack, can you please bring these along on Sunday (and each run you attend)

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO SUNDAYS RIDE AS THE NORMAL ROUTE NORTH IS CHANGED SLIGHT TO TAKE THE GROUPS BACK TO KALDIS.
