GGCC 'old skool' Road Bike Time Trial - 27th Oct 2019

Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green
for 8:30am sharp start.
Bit of a unique one
this week, as we will be riding out of the green and heading up to the Fairweather
Hall for sign on for the ‘old skool’ road bike time trial hosted by your Cycling
Weekly UK Club of the Year nominated club!
Those competing will
then make their way to the start line at their allocated time (located at A77
golf club entrance) and compete in the standard GGCC 10 mile TT route. After
the event there will be prize giving, refreshments, snacks and banter for you and
your guests.
For those that want a
club ride after the event then that can be arranged over coffee and chat at The
Fairwether hall depending on numbers and weather.
For those leaving
from the Arch on Sunday morning, we will go through some basic safety,
first aid and basic bike maintenance before we set off so that everyone stays
safe and knows exactly what’s happening on the ride up the sign on.
For those coming straight up to the hall, sign on
opens at 9am sharp

THE RACE BRIEFING FOR 9.45am**
Can all marshalls be
ready for their briefing at 9.30am
Hopefully we will be
busy with GGCC’ers and guests so to make sign on quick please make sure you
fill in the following –
Pay your £5 entry fee
We will need names
and DOB for both riders – Wee Dobboo will be looking after sign on so sign your
name and then give me the detail for the electronic time sheet.
Categories for
simplicity on the day are – Male / Female / Mixed and Guest
We will award top 3
in each category for the craic and remember this is a season ending fun event!
I will look at results and pull championship points from it later in the day
and tell you all how Ive worked it all out so you all know…….points at this stage
really do matter!!
The weather looks ace
with sunshine, les than 5% of rain and a breeze of only 12mph from the NW
So……..no TT bikes, no
skin suits, no pointy hats, no wheels above 50mm, nothing aero……just you…..a
big smile….and lets have some fun!
