So the 2019 Club Event season is done and dusted and what an event to finish on! Thanks to each and every rider, helper, marshall and guest who came and supported today! A great season close!
Thanks to everyone for truly entering into the spirit of the event and I hope everyone enjoyed it...…...after some pre race vetting and questions around the aero advantages of toe covers, the depth of a wheel that isn't 50mm but nearly 50mm, the utter disbelief of a city bike making an appearance, testing if a mountain bikes suspension forks are locked out, checking if the garmin was really secure on a Brompton Shoppers seat post.....and general hilarity and good craic...….everyone got away and gave it their all!
As ever many thanks go out to your helpers and marshalls who make these events possible, Wee Dobbo Nicola, Wee Rae, Auld Yin John, Brian McMillan, Ian Linden, Mark Gallagher, Allan Barr, John Haughey and Paul Mullan. Paul was 'nearly' a marshall until he was 'gently persuaded' to ride with Gavin Dempster!!

Full results are on the GGCC Events page and prizes were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in 3 simple categories - Male, Female and Mixed to keep things simple and fun!
Special mentions do have to goto David McGill and Gavin Morton who got a special prize for riding the maddest bikes the A77 TT course has even seen...…...a Glasgow Weegie bike and a Bromton Shopper thing (with a Garmin!!)….chapeau lads!
Also Paul (Ive been shafted into riding this) Mullan with FULL panniers and Gavin on his Gravel bike are worthy of a mention too!
Best team name (and only team name) goes to Nic Bone and Tim Clark who represented Archi Velo……..these are the tops they wore on their ride to London raising money for their charity!
