11th November Club Run Details
09 Nov 2012
Sunday 11th November GGCC Club Run - North to Strathblane, Crow Road and Kilsyth.
This Sunday we will head north and head towards Strathblane and onto The Crow Road before coffee at The Boathouse in Kilsyth and then back in to town via Stepps. The route is approximately 46 miles.
Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for a 8:30am sharp start and remember your £2 for the coffee stop.
We will go through some basic safety tips and group riding etiquette before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly whats happening on the ride.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO SUNDAYS RIDE.

Weather is to be around 5-8 degrees but dry so it will be a 'crisp' morning with a westerly wind of 7 mph.
We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE and RACE PACE depending on the number of members on the ride.
Everyone will take the same route so if you choose the wrong group or get dropped from Challenge or Race Pace there will always be a group coming up that you can join.
An idea of the pace each group should ride @ are
Steady IS steady at about 14 -16mph
Challenge should stretch you at around 18mph - 20mph
Race Pace is exactly that - FAST and usually up at high 20's / low 30's
Pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.
**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean**
See you all sunday.
