9th December club Run details

Sunday 9th December GGCC Club Run - North to Kilsyth, Strathblane and back through Milngavie - 40 miles

This Sunday we will head north and head towards Kilsyth then over to StrathBlane for a coffee stop at the Kirkhouse Inn

Please meet under the McLennan Arch on the green for a 8:30am sharp start and remember your £2 for the coffee stop.

We will go through some basic safety tips and group riding etiquette before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly whats happening on the ride.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO SUNDAYS RIDE.

Route for the club run

Weather is to be around 5-8 degrees but dry so it will be a 'crisp' morning with a westerly wind of 11 mph.

We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE and RACE PACE depending on the number of members on the ride.

Everyone will take the same route so if you choose the wrong group or get dropped from Challenge or Race Pace there will always be a group coming up that you can join.

An idea of the pace each group should ride @ are

Steady IS steady at about 14 -16mph
Challenge should stretch you at around 18mph - 20mph
Race Pace is exactly that - FAST and usually up at high 20's / low 30's

Pick you group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.

**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained and clean**

Thanks from all the team @ GGCC
