GGCC Club Run - Wednesday 24th April – Strathaven Reverse Route

We will head through Blantyre, Up Sydes Brae then onto Strathaven before heading back to East Kilbride due to the roads being lit in East Kilbride to help with visibility at the end of the run.

Meet at 6.45pm for a 7pm sharp start at the McDonalds at the end of London Road near the junction of the M74.

We will go through some basic safety tips and group riding etiquette before we set off so that everyone stays safe and knows exactly what happens on the ride.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT THE ROUTE PRIOR TO WEDNESDAYS RIDE.

Weather is forecast to be dry with 10 mph wind with temperatures around 9 degrees.

We will split into STEADY, CHALLENGE and RACE PACE at defined and agreed points along the route.

Steady is steady and usually sit between 12 - 14mph.

Challenge should push your ability and sits about 18mph.

Race Pace is faster and is around 20mph+.

Please pick your group carefully and remember that steady is the only group that holds back and does not drop anyone.

**Please remember tubes, pump, levers, multitool and also please ensure your bike is in good working order, oiled, lubed, maintained **

**Also please ensure you have good lights as its still dark at the time when the club run is on**

We look forward to seeing you all Wednesday.
